Creative Coaching Services helped out with a football event this Saturday 30th October 2010, at Chesterfield Football Club's former ground, Saltergate. The event was kindly sponsored by Coca Cola, but organised by Sporting Futures. The aim of this tournament was to give young children from all areas the opportunity to be able to take part in, and enjoy a free footballing event.
It is hoped that the sessions that are being delivered in Chesterfield, try to help steer young people away from thoughts of crime and also cut down on anti social behaviour.
Creative Coaching Services along with a local sports coaching company, helped out at the event with refereeing, football speed cage and target shooting opportunities.
The speed cage was lent to us by Football in the Community.
The tournament ran from 1.00pm until 6.00pm with a presentation on the pitch by Sporting Futures. Sadly this ground is to be knocked down in the very near future, but it was really nice to be offered the opportunity to use the ground before it goes.
